Dell Computer's Comparative Advantage

Abstract: A 6 page paper discussing changes in the PC industry and the responses of Dell, Compaq and Gateway. Industry analysts and organizations involved in the personal computer industry all agree that it is changing. The downturn was predicted to occur after the rash of sales in preparation for the Y2K issue, and those predictions have proven true. Some of Dell's competitors are branching out into other products and services, but Dell remains focused on PCs as it pursues the consumer market where Dell computers are less common but the name is well respected.
