From Isolation to Intervention/US in WWII

Abstract: An 8 page research paper that examines US foreign policy toward Great Britain prior to the US entry into World War II. Although World War II appeared to pounce on the United States on December 7, 1941, historical scholarship has shown that in actuality US involvement crept up on the country, "stage by stage, over many years" (Heinrichs 3). Dallek (1979) and Heinrichs (1988) both describe how Roosevelt walked a fine line in the years leading up to the war. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
