Legalizing Drugs: Money Issues

Abstract: 7 pages in length. When the topic of drug legalization comes up for debate, each side attempts to demonstrate the social, political and economic impact such a decision would have upon the populace. Clearly, what proponents do not realize is that revenue generated from the taxation of drugs would be ultimately and inevitably consumed by the increased social cost associated with legal drug use, such as exorbitant medical cost and the increased need for rehabilitation programs.
