Differences between Eastern and Western Philosophy

Abstract: (5 pp) It is silly for us to think, that in a page of two we will be able to encapsulate ideas that have taken lifetimes or centuries to form. However we will make the effort to give some basic differences between the two philosophical approaches to life of the East and the West in this discussion. The 1974 text by Robert Pirsig, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, will be used as the connecting thread between the two philosophies. Bibliography lists 4 sources. BBzenmtr.doc
