Can Drug Trafficking Be Stopped?

Abstract: 9 pages in length. The question is simple but the answer is anything but easy. Is there a way to stop drug trafficking in this lifetime, or has the entire problem reached such epidemic proportions that any attempts to do so prove no more effective than providing Band-Aid solutions? Clearly, there is no conspicuous defense against drug trafficking other than to make it stop; however, as elementary as such an observation may be, it does not provide even the first iota of understanding just how to go about such a monumental task.
