Preparing Students for the Job Market

Abstract: (5 pp) Looking for work is a full time job in itself, and not many people tell us that when we begin the job search. Students who are entering the job market must be aware of the job seeking process, as well as have tools at their disposal to avoid discouragement while they look for employment. Are there ways which students can be better prepared for this task? Our discussion will examine that question. Thesis statement: SCANS skills should be incorporated into multi-discipline lesson plans. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
