Abstract: This 10 page report discusses the economic, social, and political history of the various trade agreements and practices that have taken place between Canada and the United States in the past fifty years. Currently, the implications related to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Canada Free Trade Agreement (FTA) for Canadian organizations have been undeniably significant in terms of their impact on the trade relationship between the United States and Canada, as well as in terms of cultural and political understanding both between the two nations and in terms of domestic politics.
