Distance Learning in Continuing Medical Education

Abstract: A 10 page discussion of the need for, and benefits of continued education in the medical arena. Promotes the usefulness of distance learning in completing continued education programs, comparing the advantages and disadvantages of distance learning to more traditional classroom-based approaches. Notes the trend toward distance learning is one which has been promoted by advancements in communication technology as well as by changes in our personal and business time commitments.
