An Ethical Analysis of Stem Cell Research

Abstract: A 10 page overview of the many considerations which are inherent in stem cell research. This paper defines the procedures and outlines its many applications. The author then presents a discussion of the principle of autonomy, the principle of beneficence, and the principle of justice. The importance of informed consent is emphasized, the possibility of exploitation of certain genders or socioeconomic groups is broached, and the reality of unequal access to the benefits is acknowledged.
