Nationalism and Decolonization in Sierra Leone, Mid-20th Century

Abstract: A 7 page paper discussing some of the attitudes, events and issues leading to greater nationalism in Sierra Leone that eventually won its independence from Britain in 1961. The paper discusses the contributions of Adelaide Casely Hayford in the 1920s; I. T. A. Wallace-Johnson in the 1930s; and Sir Milton Margai, Sir Albert Margai and Sir Ernest S. Beoku-Betts in the 1940s and 1950s. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
