Is South Africa Constructing A Unique Model Of Human Resource Management?

Abstract: This 12 page paper considers how HRM practices are developing in South Africa. The paper argues that due to the different social conditions and cultural background the model which is emerging is unique, there are commonalities with HRM seen in other countries, the model relies on motivational theory and the human relations school of thought, but also encompasses a greater degree of co-operative collectivism.
