Abstract: A 3 page research paper that explores communication in this film. The writer argues that the heart of the film is the tension created by contrasting the manner in which a talented teacher, John Keating (Robin Williams) communicates with his students and the communication style employed by authoritarian school officials and the parents of the boys.
