Hydrocodone Abuse

Abstract: 3 pages in length. The extent to which hydrocodone has fast become what the federal Drug Enforcement Administration considers the "most abused prescription drug in the country" (The Drug Addiction Treatment Center, 2003) is both grand and far-reaching; that such commonly abused drugs as cocaine, meth and other illicit substances serve to overshadow hydrocodone use and abuse speaks to the significant difference between illegal drug addiction and one that stems from a doctor's prescription.
