The Vikings: A Week in the Life of Erik Olafson

Abstract: This 7 page paper is a fictitious story that tells of the daily life and events of one Viking family through the journal of a young boy. By telling their story, this paper gives insight into the nature of the Germanic tribes, their culture, lifestyle, economics, religious elements, practices of daily life, occupations, food, clothing, and the roles of different family members. In the conclusion, this paper compares life in the Germanic tribe to life in 20th century America. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
