The Economics Of Law Enforcement

Abstract: A 9 page research paper that examines the way in which economics impacts law enforcement. The writer explores some ways where economic factors can be improved through more efficient police management techniques demonstrating that economics is an inherent factor in law enforcement no matter what viewpoint is taken. The two are intrinsically tied. For instance, there is the actual cost running the nation's police departments. These costs include such considerations as the budgets for salaries, equipment, maintenance, etc. The other side of that coin is the cost to society in regards to the crimes themselves.
