The Ethics of Suicide

Abstract: A 5 page overview of the ethics of suicide plus a 1 page Roman Numeral Sentence Outline. Stresses that suicide is ethically wrong and presents views from ancient times and which have extended into contemporary religions which support that view. Presents the contention that those individuals with a strong religious background are less likely to attempt suicide than those individuals without that background. Encourages the incorporation of religious teachings into the counseling of suicidal patients. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
